(if you listen to the whole song, you’ll eventually hear the sample for Len’s “Steal my Sunshine”)
Aaron Beckum and myself worked on this pitch that was sent to Jay Z.
Short I produced for Gia.
(Titles too)
I directed a very short “micro” film, less than 4 minutes long, on black & white 16mm film. Shot on the last day of Summer 2010, with my friends. It’s about that period after you break up, even if you’re the one who decided to end it, that no one really talks about; where there is still a lot of hurt, uncertainty, and questions about finding the right person.
Anyway, it’s really short. So just watch it. (Headphones help.)
Thanks to Mike Burrows for agreeing to be in it, and to Sasha for just running around with no questions asked. Also of course Thanks to Tony and Nolan, who are actually great actors and gave me a lot of good stuff that didn’t make it into the final film. Thanks to Daniel and Colin for putting up with my dogmatic requests, and to Peter for insisting on editing. (Also thanks to JC, for the violin string.)
And Thanks to you for watching.

I know it’s austere.
So watch the trailer to Daniel Kaufman’s new short film “Oscar the Grouch” to make up for that. And check back on www.iratepandaboss.com for more updates. We have a lot of really great stuff coming up, more music, books and films!
If you like it, share it!
I will be writing an NFL based column for FunkFootball.com this season. The goal is to not only write about the NFL in a way that discusses the issues within the sport in a pointed way, but also with an eye towards connecting Football to larger issues outside of the sport.
Check out a previously written entry about Tim Tebow, which can be read here:
A Well Thought Out Reply to My Tebow Article
The first of my columns can be seen here, ultimately an NFL centric one:
Why the Colts Should Hope for Luck: How the Colts are Lucky to Have a Bright Future.
Second Article is up now:
Friend, and fellow White Album member, Sarah Soquel Morahaim’s solo photo (and mixed media) show opens tonight at Synchronicity Space. (See Flyer for info)

Official Sales Pitch:
The images in TOTEMS transcend their seemingly everyday subject matter. Strange narratives develop among the groupings of photographs, with symbols subtly appearing and repeating throughout the work. Photos of family and friends intermix with landscapes that translate as emotional scenery rather than pure documentation. Ostensibly mundane scenarios seem weighty and mysterious, while the exotic and unique appear familiar. Connections are drawn deriving as much from the viewers own ideas and memories, as established by Morhaim herself. TOTEMS is at once personal diary and set of inscrutable, but resonant clues.
Sarah Soquel Morhaim is a Los Angeles-based artist, photographer, and filmmaker. Morhaim’s photography has appeared in various publications including Jalouse, Vice, W, Paper, and Bon, and her short films have screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Palm Springs International, CineVegas, Maryland Film Festival, and AFI Fest, among others. Her photo-book, King, was published by Kaugummi. More of her work can be viewed atsarahsoquel.com.
